Shady Brook Farm is always a popular destination this time of year! The 2020 version of Fall Fest looks a little different from the past, but there’s still plenty of fun to be had! They’re going back to basics with loads of old fashioned family fun: wagon rides to the pumpkin patch, apple picking in the apple orchard, and pick your own sunflowers + a sunflower stroll. (Be sure to bring your cameras/phones because there are new photo props this year!) The kids can cruise around their re-designed SBF 500 Tryke Track, play on the playground, Giant Jumping Pillow, Spider Web, & explore the huge Corn Maze. All included in the price of admission. They also have Gem Mining for an extra fee. Timed tickets must be purchased in advance.

Peddler’s Village is kicking off its 41st Annual Scarecrow Season with a property-wide display of scarecrows created by individuals and local businesses and organizations. While the traditional Festival is cancelled due to the pandemic, they will sill be hosting scarecrow-making workshops designed with safety in mind on Saturday and Sunday, September 12 and 13 as well as Saturday, September 19 and 26. Bring your family and friends to enjoy a great day of fun on the farm. General Admission includes entry to the 18 acre Adventure Farm area which includes Hayrides, 2 Corn mazes, Farm animals, 3 slides, Tractor Tire playground and 40+ activities for children and adults of all ages. Fall is not complete without a festival to celebrate the changing of the leaves, the chill in the air, and, of course, Halloween! The festival at Froehlich’s Farm offers fun for all ages. This year, you will need to buy tickets for a specific time. Admission is $20 per person (under 24 months is free) and includes all festival activities such as corn maze, hayride, live music, The Cow Train, and more. Find out more HERE.

Delight in the changing colors of the season and the great outdoors just miles outside of Montgomery County. Enjoy the gardens’ famed Main Fountain Garden performances and delight in the Garden Railway, a model train display located outdoors. Beginning on October 22, take in the Chrysanthemum Festival, as an ode to the Fall’s “crown jewel” of flowers, with thousands on display.
*TIP: For the best chance at catching the season’s prime and most vibrant foliage, the website suggests visiting in October!

All aboard for a day of history, leaf-peeping, and excitement! Take a peaceful ride on our beautifully restored railroad cars through the woods and hills of historic Bucks County. This round-trip excursion offers our guests a unique way to experience nature’s spectacular performance during this lovely season. Don’t be surprised if you spot some deer, fox, or wild turkey among the colorful autumn landscapes. Tickets must be purchased online.

New in 2020, Perkasie’s Scarecrow Display Contest is a fun outdoor activity for the community and an opportunity to win a $500 donation for local non-profit organizations. The resulting Scarecrow Tour is a great way to entertain walkers and drivers around town.
Groups, families, individuals and businesses within the 18944 zip code area are invited to create Scarecrow Displays in one of 4 categories: Most Traditional, Most Creative, Most Impressive and “Positively Perkasie”. Entries must be accompanied by a photograph and are due by October 15th.
When: November 7 and 8, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
