EXETER — Enna Chocolate will host a grand opening at its new Factory + Cafe at 152 Front St. Saturday.
From 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 15 and Sunday, Aug. 16, proprietor Enna Grazier will welcome customers to her new shop where she will make and sell her bean-to-bar chocolate and other offerings.
Enna Chocolate will feature espresso and chocolate drinks, a selection of baked goods, and of course chocolate bars. A unique offering is a refreshing spritzer made with cacao juice. Visitors can watch the bean to bar making process through a large window between the cafe and retail area and the chocolate factory, from the burlap sacks of cacao beans to wrapped bars including the chocolate being ground in the large granite grinders. The beans for Enna Chocolate are ethically sourced, and all of the ingredients are carefully chosen by the proprietor. Coffee beans are provided by local roaster Flight Coffee.
The cafe walls will be adorned with a rotating selection of art, the first of which are creations by local artists Laura Harper, Rose Bryant and Ree Katrak.
Patrons can sit indoors or outdoors to enjoy the shop’s offerings, including the aroma of chocolate. To-go orders are available. COVID-19 safety protocols include mask-wearing, extra cleaning precautions and limiting the number of customers inside the shop at one time. Enna Chocolate will be open Wednesday through Sunday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. with hours and days expanding later in the year.
At the beginning of this challenging time, Grazier decided to continue with her plans for a long-wished for move from Epping, where her factory and shop was located, to Exeter, bringing her closer to her Exeter community, and the home she shares with her husband, Matt Grazier, and their two boys. Since late spring, Grazier has continued to make bean-to-bar chocolate, and to engage with her customers and colleagues even while she and her family re-modeled.
