Jacob Blake’s uncle says about President Trump

Jacob Blake’s uncle Justin Blake told ABC News he feels President Donald Trump is partially responsible for what happened to his nephew and for the violence across the country. He spoke to ABC’s Zohreen Shah on Sunday about the protest in Kenosha on Saturday. She asked Justin Blake about people who are instigating violence at some rallies.”How could they not be feeding on violence when the man in the White House is steady drumming it up? Did you not think it would not trickle down to the streets? It has,” Justin Blake said. “So we have the opportunity to control the narrative as the Blake family, and we’re gonna do that.”Shah also asked him about Trump’s expected visit to Kenosha.”I hope he likes Kenosha. It’s a beautiful place and beautiful people,” Justin Blake said. “But our family don’t particularly want to have anything to do with him. We believe he incited this violence. And that’s why it’s flooded over. People think they have the right to do anything. And when you think you have the right to shoot a young man seven times in a back, you’re wrong and justice has to come your way.”Justin Blake said he and his family have not heard from the president.”No, he hasn’t,” he said. “But we say thank you to Vice President Biden and sister (Kamala) Harris, they did reach out and speak with our brother. I kept missing their call. I wasn’t able to catch up to him, but they spoke with our brother for prolonged conversation and indicated some of the things they would like to get done and accomplished. Bills, laws and so forth if they were to get into office.”Justin Blake said he wants to see more leadership from the president.”In history’s past, when things of this nature happen, the man or woman in the White House try to rally the nation to one center point for the best of the country,” he said. “And we haven’t heard that. We just heard and we’ve heard divisions of Trump being whistle blowing and things of that nature which feed into what happened to my nephew. When you wear a badge and anything happens and you think you can murder or kill or blame somebody and go home and have coffee with your family. Things need to be changed. So if you’re not speaking directly to that, you’re not speaking directly to make a changes legally to bills and documents that would protect African-Americans around the world or have gone to cities around the world, then you’re really just talking.”Justin Blake said his family members will be in the area where Jacob Blake was shot to clean up the neighborhood and hand out food next Saturday.
