Nearly 20 Houston breweries have joined the Black Is Beautiful initiative since it was announced in June. Marcus Baskerville, owner and head brewer of Weathered Souls Brewing in San Antonio, spearheaded the effort, asking brewers to make limited-edition beers and donate the proceeds to organizations fighting for racial justice. More than 1,000 breweries in all 50 states and 19 countries are participating.
