16th Annual Festival of Trees: Tata Auditorium, Leominster City Hall, 25 West St., Leominster. Stop by City Hall weekdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and weekends from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. (except where noted) and check out trees donated and decorated by local residents, businesses and organizations. Pick out and vote for or bid on your favorites. Proceeds from the Festival of Trees will benefit the Mayor’s Fuel Assistance Program and City of Leominster events, such as the Winter Stroll.

Saturday, Dec. 4

Pannukakku Breakfast and Finnish Independence Day Program: 8-11 a.m., Finnish Center at Saima Park, 67 Scott Road, Fitchburg. Breakfast (8-10 a.m.): Finnish oven pancake, Finnish coffee bread, bacon, sausage, fruit, juice and coffee/tea/cocoa, all for $10. Loaves of coffee bread are also for sale. Vendors include artist Karen Kemp, Son of a Bee, Lark Knits and Knutty Knitters! Raivaaja will have an information table. Program (10 a.m.): A brief reading about Finnish Independence Day, followed by a film of a play directed and produced by Judith Lindstedt of ZZ Productions. The play is a one-act comedy by Finnish writer Alexis Kivi. Please bring proof of COVID-19 vaccination. For more information, visit www.saima-park.org.

St. Joseph’s Annual Christmas Fair: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Church Hall at 49 Woodland St., Fitchburg. Enjoy traditional Canadian French festive delights, poutines, meat pies, and rappees, fresh made American lunch items from our own kitchen to have there or take out, a $1,750 cash raffle, a new snowblower raffle, arts and crafts tables, theme baskets, children toys and games, bakery table, cartoonist from Leominster, Grandma’s Attic of treasures, and a Christmas tree raffle with $250 worth of scratch tickets. Proceeds will be used to help improve and maintain the church hall, which holds a food distribution center for St. Vincent de Paul and supports a clothes closet for the needy.

Remembering the Boston Tea Party — A History of Teas: 10 a.m., Leominster Veterans’ Memorial Center, 100 West St., Leominster. The Capt. John Joslin, Jr. Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution will be having a Historical/Patriotic Program. Light refreshments will be served. Winter Stroll, Parade and Tree Lighting: Starting at 3 p.m., Downtown Leominster. The City of Leominster will hold its 16th Annual Winter Stroll from 3-5 p.m. The Winter Stroll wraps up at 5 p.m. with the Parade of Lights through downtown, ending at the common and Monument Square, where the city’s Christmas tree will be lit at 5:15 p.m.

Sunday, Dec. 5

Pictures with Santa: 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Montachusett Recovery Center, 106 Carter St., Leominster. The event includes crafting a hand-made frame with your child. A bake sale will be held the same day. Monday, Dec. 6

COVID-19 Testing Tent: Noon to 4 p.m., Doyle Field Parking Lot, Priest Street, Leominster. Walk-ins are accepted, or register online at the link on the City of Leominster website, leominster-ma.gov/news.

Yoga for Everybody: 1:15-2:30 p.m., Montachusett Recovery Center, 106 Carter St., Leominster. In-person, cost-free yoga class, open to the public, and taught by a certified yoga instructor. A slower and gentler practice allowing the practitioner of any age or physical condition to move at a comfortable pace. Donations are encouraged. Leominster Meditation Virtual Meet-up: 7-8 p.m. The Monday meditation group that met at the Leominster Public Library is temporarily an online event due to COVID.
