New Delhi: Who does not like a set of shining white teeth? Healthy and beautiful teeth indeed play an important role in enhancing a person’s appearance which adds to their increased confidence. According to an expert, India saw an increase in teeth whitening demand in the past decade. As reported by ANI, Dr Mohendar Narula, Founder of MyDentalPlan said, “We have seen a considerable surge in demand for teeth whitening services recently. With increased social media exposure and dental care awareness post Coronavirus is pushing Indians to focus on teeth whitening.”

“At least 7 out of 10 Indians have searched for teeth whitening clinics on our platform with the majority of them being adults or from the working class. India offers the best dental whitening services at a nominal cost across the globe,”, he added.

Teeth whitening tips

Here are some ways in which you can naturally whiten your teeth:

  1. Improve lifestyle: Smokers and tobacco consumers often have unattractive brownish or yellowish teeth due to the stain developed over time contributed by an unhealthy lifestyle. For healthier teeth, avoid drinking, chewing tobacco, or smoking as they can harm the teeth. 
  2. Regulate your diet: Eating a healthy and balanced diet full of fruits and vegetables can help keep the teeth healthy and white. Furthermore, try avoiding coffee, tea, soda, red wine, and other foods that may cause stained teeth. Get your daily dose of calcium people and stay away from excessive sugar consumption. 
  3. Use baking soda: Brushing your teeth with baking soda can help you get whiter teeth. All you need to do is combine 2 tsp of water with 1 tsp of baking powder and brush your teeth with it. You can carry it out few times a week but do not do it daily. 
  4. Maintain oral hygiene: Maintaining proper oral hygiene will not only help you get whiter teeth but aid the health of the overall body. Do not forget to brush twice a day for at least 2 minutes, floss your teeth, clean your tongue, and rinse thoroughly. 
  5. Try oil pulling: The method of washing your mouth with oil to eliminate bacteria and toxins is known as oil pulling. You can practice this method by using sesame oil, coconut oil, or sunflower oil.
